Cruise 2.0R is the equivalent of a 5, 6 horsepower combustion engine. This is confirmed by numerous users' tests and practice. Cruise engines are controlled by an electronic control handle equipped with a display. When mounting the lever to the engine and installing the motor on the boat, we must remember that all connections require great care and good materials, but the help of specialized service is not necessary, the operation does not require complicated tools. For each engine, the company supplies a basic set of copper cables and a high-quality switch (note: the engine mounted to the control room needs a minimum of two additional screws to permanently screw it to the transom).

The 4.0 R Cruise is an electric outboard engine quite different from the rest. This is a 48 volt outboard engine with 9 hp thrust compared to an outboard gasoline engine! Cruise 4.0 R efficiency is unrivaled - 51% which means that you can use battery power better than other outboard motors available on the market. Efficiency in electric motors is important and Torqeedo ensures that their range of outboard motors is very efficient. Cruise 4.0R has an overall efficiency of 51%, which means that more than half the energy provided by batteries is transformed into motive power. - Which really means that you will be able to travel with a smaller battery than other, less efficient outboard engines. Cruise 2.0R uses lead-acid batteries, usually four 12V connected in series. 4.0R Cruise is waterproof (IP 67), thanks to which it is protected against immersion up to 1m depth and up to a maximum of 1 hour.
